Therapeutic & Deep Tissue Massage

An integrative approach to massage and bodywork allows us to utilize the best aspects of many techniques and modalities, resulting in a  well rounded and truly therapeutic massage experience. According to the Mayo Clinic and The American Massage Therapy Association therapeutic massage can also help decrease symptoms of depression and anxiety by lowering cortisol and increasing serotonin as well as providing compassionate touch therapy. Relax the mind and ease chronic muscle tension with deep yet gentle bodywork. Experience increased range of movement with less pain!

Massage Cupping

Massage cupping is a technique that uses suction on the surface of the skin to draw inflammation and stagnation from the body to the surface where it is then flushed away in the lymph and circulatory systems. Some of the benefits of massage cupping include but are not limited to:

  • Clears Stagnation

  • Drains & Moves Fluids

  • Relieves Inflammation

  • Nervous System Sedation

  • Expels Congestion

  • Stretches Muscles and Connective Tissue

  • Loosens Adhesions in the Fascia

Cupping is gentle yet profoundly effective on the physical and mental bodies. Five minutes of cupping is equal to 30 minutes of deep tissue massage and can affect the tissue up to 4 inches into the body.

Prenatal Massage

Appropriate for all stages of pregnancy from the first trimester through to postpartum, this work is essential for relieving the pains and strains commonly associated with carrying a child. Side-lying and semi-reclined positioning assure your utmost safety and comfort! Please note that certain complications associated with high-risk pregnancy may require a medical release from your health care provider.

Thai Massage

Thai Massage is an eastern modality, originally taught to families by Buddhist monks and passed down as a way to relieve sore muscles from hard days of labor in the fields. Thai Massage uses gentle, rhythmic pressure and passive stretching along various energy lines of the body to relieve muscle and joint tension, increase flexibility and mobility, and balance the body’s energy systems. Traditional, steamed herbal packs may be used for relaxation, with the heat and herbs offering a deeper impact on the body. Traditional Thai Massage has spiritual roots, with the purpose of healing a person on physical, emotional and spiritual levels. The massage takes place on a mat on the floor, and it is recommended to wear comfortable clothing that you can move in, such as gym shorts, sweats or yoga pants, and a T-shirt or tank top during your Thai Massage session. The therapist will utilize their whole body- from their hands, forearms, elbows and even feet and knees- to move your body into various positions during the massage.

DFRTM Technique

"Dynamic Fascial ResponseTM is a blend of structural therapies and foundational philosophy that produce a dialog of activation and response between the practitioner and the fascia. The response in the fascia releases holding patterns in the fascial body and, as a result, both physiological and emotional changes occur. This method resources and re-purposes stuck patterns and can heal trauma, relieve pain, improve posture and health and above all promote peace." -Chula Gemignani, CMT and Instructor and creator and of the DFRTM Technique.

Spa Rituals

Best Face Forward Massage Facials
Add some luxury and pamering to your next massage with a soothing Massage Facial. A steamy towel gently prepares your skin for our locally and handmade cleansing balm, expertly massaged onto your face to disolve both dirt and tension from clogged pores and tired muscles. Next we apply a soothing mask of bentonite clay and herbal hydrosols to draw out any remaining impurities and soothe irritation before finishing off with our exclusive facial oil, made in-house with a proprietary blend of herbal infused oil and essential oils chosen for their skin-friendly and lightweight properties to leave you feeling refreshed and renewed. Integrated seemlessly into any of our therapeutic massage sessions (excluding Thai Massage) our Massage Facials elevate your experience to a true Ritual of Self Care.

We've Got Your Back Treatments
Like our Massage Facials, our back treatments are designed to take your massage session to the next level of relaxation with added therapeutic benefit. Choose from a Salted Oil Scrub to gently exfoliate dead skin cells, a Dead Sea Mud Mask to draw out impurities and soothe irritation, or a Moisture Mask to quench dry skin with a mask of cocoa and shea butters, or combine them to create the perfect spa experience.

Quench the Day Hydration Bath
Dry hands and chapped feet can be uncomfortable at best and painful at worst and our paraffin-alternative Quench the Day Hydration Bath is the perfect way to banish dry, irritated skin and stiff, aching joints. As a more earth-friendly alternative to paraffin wax, our Hydration Bath lets you experience the same deep heating pain relief from arthriti joint pain and skin conditions from dry chapped skin to mild dermatitis you get from paraffn without the harmful environmental and potential health effects of the petroleum-based wax. So let us wrap your extremities in a soothing blanket of warm shea and cocoa butters to quench thirsty skin and add a touch of pampering to your next therapeutic massage session.
Foot Lounge Experience

So often we find ourselves rushing through our day... rushing to appointments, running around at work, at home, on our days off... it's exhausting. And our feet largely take the brunt of all this hurrying. Our Foot Lounge Experience was created with this in mind, as somewhere you can land for 20 minutes (or more!) and just let go of the day for a few moments and show your self and your feet some care and appreciation. Sink into our soft and cushy vibrating massage chairs while the warm water infused with Dead Sea salts and soothing herbs (by local business Bloom & Skye Herbal Remedies) soak away the stress of the day as you gaze out over our potted garden of Japanese Maples (courtesy of another local small business, Focal Point Trees).
